is this thing on?

At one point in my life I considered myself a writer. I even considered making a living off of it. At some point in my life I got off course and stopped writing. I've been considering starting a blog for a while. It's sort of narcissistic to think that people really care about what I have to say. Let's face it, I don't lead a very glamorous or exciting life, but maybe that's the point. I'm just a gal from Chicago trying to live her life and have as many adventures as possible along the way. I can't promise a lot -so don't set your expectations too high. What I can say it that there will be humor, some bitterness, a lot of mispelled words and most certainly cocktails along the way.
